Installation Debugging Hints

If the user encounters difficulty in the installation process then he should:

• Consult the FAQ lists at the home pages of the BLAS, LAPACK and LAPACK95.
  
• Consult the release_notes files at the same home pages. These files contain lists of known difficulties that have been diagnosed and corrected (or will be corrected in the next release), or reported to the vendor in the case of machine-specific BLAS.
  
• Check the installation of machine dependencies.
  
• Try the model implementation BLAS (Section 1.5.3) if he is using machine-specific BLAS.
  
• Discuss the problem with the system administrator (if there is one).
  
• Contact the developers of LAPACK95 at the Email address in Section 1.6.
