Current temperature at the University
ICL Our group, called the Innovative Computing Laboratory (ICL), is part of the Computer Science Department at the University of Tennessee and is engaged in research in various areas of high-performance computing.
COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT We also participate in a program called the Scientific Computing Program in the Computer Science Department at UT.
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH Jack Dongarra received his BS in Mathematics from Chicago State University in 1972, a MS in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1973, and his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of New Mexico in 1980. After spending 16 years in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory, he joined the Computer Science Department at the University of Tennessee and the Mathematical Sciences Section at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1989, where he holds a joint appointment as Distinguished Scientist.
