Nlrexecd is the service provider daemon for the Xnetlib services.
The nlrexecd daemons running at UT/ORNL
currently provide access to the Netlib software and document
repository, the NA-NET Whitepages Database, the Performance
Database, and the Conferences Database. Nlrexecd is written to
be a general service provider, however, and can be configured
to offer an arbitrary set of services, as long as they speak the
Xnetlib protocol.
A new service can be
added easily by providing the code for the function to be called
when the service is invoked.
