abstract

Octave is a high-level language primarily intended for numerical
computations. It provides a convenient command line interface for solving
linear and nonlinear problems numerically. The program is similar in style to
Matlab, using Gnuplot for graphical output. The underlying numerical solvers
used by the program are the BLAS, LAPACK, LINPACK, ODEPACK etc
