Bob is an interactive volume renderer. It provides very good performance
when run on a system that has high polygon performance such as a Silicon
Graphics VGX workstation. The input to Bob is a 3D array (or brick) of
bytes, thus the name "Bob". It was specifically designed to work with
subsets of larger datasets which are commonly generated at the Graphics
and Visualization Laboritory.

Works best on an SGI 4D series computer that is capable of alpha blending.
This includes Indigo, Elan, GTX, and VGX graphics hardware.
