profview - KSR Parallel Programming Trace Analysis tool

abstract

Profview is an X-based tool for the KSR that displays program profile
data generated by the prof/gprof utilities. It is an extension of the standard
UNIX prof/gprof utilities, using data from the the mon.out or gmon.out file
to display graphical histograms as well as the traditional prof/gprof
statistics. In addition to providing profiling information at the subroutine
level, it can provide profiling at the source program statement or machine
instruction level. Profview supports multi-threaded programs.
