prof, gprof - Profiling tools on KSR and IBM SP

abstract

Prof and gprof are standard Unix tools callable from user programs that
profile the user application. They inform the user of how much time the
application spent in each of its subroutines. For the KSR and IBM SP, prof
and gprof have been modified to be usable with parallel applications.
