pmon - KSR Performance Monitoring Library

abstract

KSR's pmon library (libpmon.a) provides performance data on a per-thread
basis. The pmon data is obtained from three sources: the EM (Event
Monitor), hardware registers, and the kernel. The information is
particularly valuable for analyzing cache use. Routines for timing on a per
thread basis (elapsed time, cpu time, and number of clock cycles) are also
provided.
