KSR C Compiler
- abstract
-
The KSR C compiler conforms to the ANSI C standard; parallelism is
available via calls to pthread library routines or via calls to SPC (Simple
Presto C) subroutines.
Parallelism in KSR C can be accomplished in one of two ways: (1) through
calls to pthread library routines; the pthreads facility is based on but does
not fully conform to the draft Posix standard (P1003.4a), or (2) through
calls to SPC (Simple Presto C) subroutines, which provide the same
functionality as the KSR Fortran parallelization directives. The C compiler
employs range of optimization techniques and other extensions.
