Until recently, most unstructured grids/particles are first
partitioned on a sequential computer and then loaded into a
parallel computer. For large grids, this scheme becomes a
serious bottleneck, both in the size of the grids it can handle
and in the time of partitioning such a large grids on sequential
computer. PPGP instead loads the entire grids first into a
parallel computer and then partition the grids in a parallel
fashion. This enables one to do much larger grids and speeds up
the partitioning process significantly.
