4D2, visualization tool for computational fluid dynamics data
- abstract
-
4d2 is an interactive visualization tool for time-dependent 3D CFD
data containing scalar and vector fields on rectangular grids, and for
particle data. The software runs on SGI machines (tested on personal
IRIS, 4D/340 VGX, Indy, Indigo2). It is easy to use and provides many
visualization functions such as contour plots, vector plots, slicing,
iso-surface extraction, streamline tracing, particle displaying, and
volume rendering, as well as a graphical user interface and an
animation tool for time-dependent data sets.
