ALE3D - An Arbitrary Lagrange/Eulerian 3D Code System <author> <version>
ALE3D is 3D Lagrangian/Eulerian hydrodynamics with material strength in the kbar to mbar regime, developed to model the behavior of objects undergoing gross deformation. This code employs arbitrarily connected hexahedra with 8 nodes per element and no degenerate or tetrahedra elements. Structural shell and beam elements have been included in the code. <description><url>http://www.llnl.gov/liv_comp/meiko/apps/futral/futral.html</url> <reference><url></url> <contact>Scott Futral / futrals@llnl.gov <keywords>simulation; hydrodynamics; application program <category>application <publication-date>01 November 1994 <environment> <method>momentum-conserving algorithm <application>stress gradients, strain rates, metal forming process, material modeling <comments> </urc>
