ZPL - a machine-independent data parallel array based language <contact>zpl@cs.washington.edu
ZPL is a machine-independent data parallel array based language that is a sublanguage of the more general Orca C language. Both languages are based upon the Phase Abstractions programming model and the CTA abstract machine model. These models attempt to provide portability by capturing the performance-critical features of MIMD machines--and nothing more. <keywords>parallel programming language; data parallelism; architecture independence <category>ppt-pplang <description><url>http://www.cs.washington.edu/research/projects/orca3/zpl/www/zpl.html</url> <reference><url>ftp://ftp.cs.washington.edu/pub/orca/zpl.ps.Z</url> </urc>
