Programmable Marker Lights (pmarray) - IBM SP execution analysis <author> <version>
The programmable marker lights are a simple method for a user to watch the progress of a calculation on the IBM SP. They appear as an array of colored squares (lights) in a separate X window when one issues the pmarray command. The number of rows in the array is equal to the number of tasks that will execute and the number of columns is determined by the user through an environment variable. The color of each light is changed by a subroutine that one can insert at strategic places in the code. There is an optional message field in the subroutine call which allows for text messages to appear in a box next to the array of lights. <description><url>http://www.tc.cornell.edu:80/Parallel.Tools/tools/pmarray.html</url> <reference><url></url> <contact> <keywords>parallel execution analysis; parallel execution monitoring <category>ppt-exe <publication-date> <environment>IBM SP <method> <application> <comments> </urc>
