MPL - Parallel Message Passing Library <author> <version>
MPL is a subroutine library from IBM for writing distributed memory programs, in C or Fortran, for RISC System/6000 clusters or the IBM SP. MPL programs running on the IBM SP can send messages over the IBM High Performance Switch, a fast interconnect that provides uniform communication time between all nodes in the system. MPL provides routines for message passing, management of tasks and task groups, and collective communications. It enforces the SPMD (single program multiple data) scalable programming model. MPL programs can run with the pdbx debugger, the vt performance visualization tool, and the program marker array. <description><url>http://www.tc.cornell.edu:80/Parallel.Tools/tools/mpl.html</url> <reference><url></url> <contact> <keywords>message passing library <category>ppt-comm <publication-date> <environment>RISC System/6000, IBM SP <method> <application> <comments> </urc>
