A final review and revision cycle for the journal publication has been completed, and we expect the special issue to appear within the next few months.

`Spin99 Workshop Call for Papers`

There will be two Spin workshops in 1999. The first will have a slight emphasis on the theory and the second on the practice of automata based model checking:

SPIN-V will be held on Monday July 5, 1999 in Trento, Italy, as one of the workshops in the Federated Logic Conference (FLOC99) For more details see: http://www.ics.ele.tue.nl/~dennis/5thSPIN99/
The PC for the workshop consists of Dennis Dams (Eindhoven Univ), Mieke Massink (CNR-Ist), Ed Brinksma (Univ of Twente), Marco Daniele (ITC-IRST), Bengt Jonsson (Uppsala Univ), and Gerard Holzmann (Bell Labs).
The keynote speaker is John Rushby (http://www.csl.sri.com/rushby/rushby.html)
Submission deadline for SPIN-V is April 1, 1999

SPIN-VI will be held on Spetember 21, 1999 in Toulouse, France, as one of the workshops in the First World Congress on Formal Methods (FM99).
