• Homogeneous Coherency: All processes selected to possess the result receive the exact same answer if:

  • Communication does not change the value of the communicated data,
  • All processes perform floating point arithmetic exactly the same.

• Heterogeneous Coherency: All processes will receive the exact same answer if communication does not change the value of the communicated data.
