Applications
Work on scientific applications plays an important and natural role in
unifying CRPC research by bringing software and algorithm researchers
together from both the CRPC and the external academic and industrial
community. The applications projects serve several functions: as testbeds
for the development of core parallel algorithms, as testbeds for the
software and other basic computer science research, and as demonstrations
of parallel computing technologies in real scientific computations.
