Subject: Simulation software Siconos release 4.3.0 is out

A brand new Siconos 4.3.0 release is out !!

Siconos is an open-source scientific software primarily targeted at
modeling and simulating nonsmooth dynamical systems in C++ and in Python:
- Mechanical systems (rigid or solid) with unilateral contact and
Coulomb friction and impact (nonsmooth mechanics, contact dynamics,
multibody systems dynamics or granular materials).
- Switched Electrical Circuit such as electrical circuits with ideal
and piecewise linear components: power converter, rectifier,
Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) or Analog-to-Digital converter.
- Sliding mode control systems.
- Biology (Gene regulatory network).

Other applications are found in Systems and Control (hybrid systems,
differential inclusions, optimal control with state constraints),
Optimization (Complementarity systems and Variational inequalities),
Fluid Mechanics, and Computer Graphics.

We are now working on the release candidate 4.4.0.rc that can be
forked from our github repo master branch.

- PDE based data assimilation and model reduction of turbulent flow
- Adjoint based Identification of Network Flow, Model Reduction and

The major topic is data assimilation of a compressible jet flow and
aeroacoustics. Applications are in explosive volcanic, impinging jet
cooling and loss-of-vaccum- events in fusion reactors. The candidate
is required to have a sound working knowledge in numerical
methods. Knowledge in adjoint methods and skills in experimental fluid
mechanics would be an advantage.

- Master or equivalent with specialisation in numerical analysis,
numerical fluid mechanics, scientific computing or related, issued
by a top International University.
